Preface

Abstract

This book presents the proceedings of the 10th international conference on quality, reliability, risk, maintenance, and safety engineering (QR2MSE2020) held in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China between 8 and 11 October 2020. QR2MSE2020 is to provide a multi-disciplinary forum to provide an ideal setting to share experiences and be informed of the state-of-the-art developments in this area of expertise; to provide the atmosphere for many fruitful discussions and stimulates participants from a wide range of industrial, social, and academic sectors of related fields.QR2MSE2020 is the 10th event of QR2MSE conference series, which continues the previous conferences have been held in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China in 2011, Chengdu, Sichuan, China in 2012, Emeishan, Sichuan, China in 2013, Dalian, Liaoning, China in 2014, Beijing, China in 2015, Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, China in 2016, Chengdu, Sichuan, China in 2017, Qingdao, Shandong, China in 2018, and Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China in 2019. This year’s event has been held in the same city as it had been created a decade ago to salute the special and memorable moment in its history.For the first time of its history, QR2MSE2020 was run under unforeseen and tough COVID19 situations. However, this year’s conference reached a historical high point that a total of 968 contributions have been submitted and 268 of them were selected to be included in this book after rigorous peer-review. Amongst the topics covered in this year’s event are the most updated aspects and developments concerning 35 topics e.g. strategic asset management, quality engineering, reliability theory and application, prognostics and health management, multidisciplinary design optimization, and applications of industrial interment.
