Abstract
The precise determination of the electron beam and emission angle in modern storage rings for synchrotron radiation (SR) is essential for the optimal operation of monochromators etc. We describe here a method used at BESSY to continuously determine the source position and emission angle to 1 μm and 0.3 μrad respectively which does not require any mechanical motion.
