Practice Summary: Managing Capacity at the University of Mary Washington’s College of Business

Abstract

To manage growth as the university approaches capacity, the author modeled the problem as a multiobjective max-flow system with pooled resources and developed a spreadsheet model to determine the optimal allocation of resources across the university’s programs.
