Abstract

The article presents the results of developing the concept of practice in the system of higher pedagogical education, which has undergone preliminary testing in the implementation of bachelor and master educational programmes at the Faculty of Philology of Herzen University. The authors determine the main approaches to a new understanding of the functional purpose of practice in the new conditions of civilisational changes, taking into account the challenges of the time, from the points of view of both the state and society. The main trends in the development of programmes for all types of practice are formulated.
