Abstract
Structure theorems, in the spirit of E. Artin's Positivstellensatz, are obtained for certain positive polynomials on semi-algebraic subsets of the Euclidean space. The proofs use simple geometric constructions and a separation theorem of convex cones in topological vector spaces.
