Abstract
From the standpoint of a new physical-chemical water treatment coagulation theory, proposed by the author, the theoretical basis of the hydrolysis of coagulants and coagulation process of pollutants of natural waters to produce potable water condition. The influence of temperature, pH, ionic composition, mixing, additives and opacifiers flocculants on the process of coagulation. Analyzed the different ways of feeding coagulants to purify water. Particular attention is paid to the contact coagulation, which allows to intensify the process of drinking water, reducing reagent consumption and improve the quality of treated water.
