Abstract

Photovoltaic model has a high reliability and precision are essential in performing simulated power system of photovoltaic (PV). In this study, PV modeled using Ideal Single Diode Model (ISDM). The parameters of the ISDM must be estimated accurately to obtain reliable models. To determine the model parameters easily, one of the parameters must be assumed. This is due to the limited information from the datasheet issued by the manufacturer of PV. This study proposes a parameterization approach for ISDM of PV, thus increasing the accuracy of the model reduces complexity by using Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO). GWO estimate the parameters ISDM accurately, thereby increasing the accuracy of the model by using the manufacturer's datasheet. The simulation results show the maximum power simulation equal with maximum power datasheet 74.80W for Shell SP75 at ideally diode factor A = 2.058 and maximum power simulation 230.19 W proportional with maximum power datasheet 230.20 W for SST230-60P at ideally diode factor A = 1.888. The simulation results precise for ISDM-three parameters to obtain the maximum power value simulation results compare to the maximum electric power from the manufacturer's data sheet.
