Abstract
A time-dependent harmonic potential and a memory function formulation have been used for the dynamics of the interacting Brownian particles in ordered colloidal systems. Approximations have been introduced at the level of the force correlation function. The theoretical scattering functions agree well with the photon correlation spectroscopy data for polystyrene colloidal dispersions in aqueous environments.
