Abstract
In this paper, a CdSe thin film on cadmium was prepared by direct interaction of dissolved elemental selenium with cadmium sheet in triethylene glycol or propylene carbonate at high temperatures (140 – 200 °C). The I-V characteristics under bias DC voltage and I-V curves of the cell Cd/CdSe/polysulphide/Pt were investigated and the cell power efficiency and fill factor were determined. The photoresponse spectrum of CdSe electrode and the effect of light intensity were also recorded.
