Abstract

We have studied the photoconductivity of Ag 2O silver oxide thin films. The results are different when the films are freshly prepared, annealed or several days old. Annealing and time improve the crystalline state of the films and probably reduce the number of recombination centres. As a consequence of this improvement the photocurrent maximum observed for freshly prepared Af 2O thin films during illumination vanishes.
