Abstract

We investigated the photocatalytic NOx degradation performance of foam composites using various TiO2 application methods and saturated conditions. TiO2 powder (TP) and TiO2 nanofiber (TF) were used. TF was fabricated using polyvinyl pyrrolidone, ethanol, acetylacetone, and titanium 4-isopropoxide via electrospinning. TF mixed with an inorganic coating material was sprayed on cementitious materials once. The NOx degradation performance of the TF-spray-coated specimen was higher than that of specimens with TP. The NOx removal performance of the form composite decreased with increasing specimen water content. The TF-spray-coated foam composite with activated carbon yielded the highest NOx removal performance.
