Abstract

The phosphonium- and phosphonium-hydrogen-derivatives of cyano complex compounds of iron(II) and iron(III) were prepared and investigated. The processes that take place during thermal decomposition of these complexes were cleared up by derivatographic investigations. From the i.r. spectroscopic data of the phosphonium-hydrogen-cyanoferrates conclusions were drawn regarding their structure. The thermal decomposition of these last complexes makes it possible to produce reactive intermediates by preparative methods.
