Abstract

This article reports the X-ray diffraction analysis of solid solutions of the (1-x)(Na0.5K0.5)NbO3 – xCu0.5NbO3 system with x = 0.010 ÷ 0.020, study of their microstructure, as well as dielectric and piezoelectric properties. All solid solutions have a perovskite-type structure without extraneous phases except for composition with x = 0.020, which has a small impurity phase that could not be detected. A critical influence of a liquid phase on sintering process of the solid solutions and formation of their microstructure and macro-responses is established. The correlation between changes in the microstructure of ceramics and their electrophysical characteristics is shown.
