Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous reluctance motor excellent in demagnetization resistance while maintaining torque performance required for electric vehicles. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor is structured by embedding ferrite magnets 17, 18, 19 in individual arc-shaped slits 14, 15, 16. At least with respect to each of the outermost circumferential arc-shaped slits 14, both ends of the slit are so formed that they are tapered into a triangular shape as they approach the outer circumference of the rotor. The rotor portions between the rotor outer circumferential surface and the slit ends are so formed that they are V-shaped thin portions 20. The ferrite magnets 17 embedded in the outermost circumferential arc-shaped slits are embedded so that triangular gaps 14a, 14b remain at both ends of each slit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
