Abstract

Objective The Maslow′s hierarchy concepts theory, in clinical uterine fibroids surgery patients, was used to analyze the effects of psychological intervention. Methods A retrospective analysis in our department from January to June 2015 was conducted in 76 uterine fibroids patients for their nursing care. Patients were divided into different groups for psychological intervention. Results The length of pain, time of hospitalization, medical cost, complication rates in the intervention group were lower than those in the conventional group; the satisfaction in the intervention group was high than that of the conventional group (P<0.05). Conclusions Nursing psychological intervention can help shorten hospital stays, reduce medical costs and promote early recovery of patients.
