Abstract
Objective To analyze the perioperative nursing methods based on accelerated rehabilitation surgery (FTS) concept for patients taking total knee arthroplasty (TKR). Methods 92 patients taking TKR at our hospital from May, 2015 to July, 2016 were observed and were divided into a routine group and an FTS group. The routine group received routine perioperative nursing care and the FTS group perioperative nursing care based on FTS concept. 2 months from then, the nursing effects of the two groups were recorded. Results The visual analogue score (VAS), the hospitalization time, and the incidence of the complications were significantly lower in the FTS group than in the routine group (P<0.05). The knee function scores (HSS) and the knee joint activity (ROM) were significantly better in the FTS group than in the routine group (P<0.05). Conclusion Perioperative nursing care based on FTS concept for patients taking total knee arthroplasty can quickly restore the patients' knee function and reduce their pain and complications. Key words: Perioperative care; FTS concept; TKR
