Abstract

The use of cp starting materials (concentrated raw materials or well-brine magnesia) combined with high-temperature firing gives periclase-spinel refractories with a high-density structure, a highly developed intergranular bond, and improved physicoceramic properties. The refractoriness under a load of 2 kg/cm2 of these refractories is 140°C higher, i.e., 1720 as against 1580°C.
