Summary

Introduction

Seeking its consolidation as a science of caring, nursing still seeks to structure its professional values.[1]. It has been shown that the use of NCS allows an effective improvement in the quality of care, valorizes the scientific aspect of the profession and ensures benefits, such as promoting integration between the nursing staff and other members of the health team; providing conditions for the assessment of the care; making care possible in individualized and holistic contexts; and providing conditions essential for the progress and the autonomy of the profession.[2,4,5]. This study emphasizes the relevance of the integration of nursing technicians in the NCS implementation process
