Abstract

This study aims to describe the role and implementation of the PAI teacher uswah method in developing the character of students at Prof. Vocational School. Suryono, Sumberpucung District and the obstacles faced. This study uses a qualitative analysis method with a case study approach. The result of the role of the uswah method is that Islamic religious education teachers are part of the role model needed to develop student character, the effectiveness of using this method can be realized when there are two things, namely equipping teachers with various uswah methods as an intervention in character building in familiarizing students In carrying out habituation to various attitudes, various character education programs will be successful if the inhibiting factors can be minimized such as a less conducive environment and the absence of the role of parents involved in character building programs
