Abstract

Produktivitas kacang hijau di Sumatera Selatan rata-rata 1,67 ton/ha, hal ini dikarenakan karena teknik budidaya yang belum optimal, salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan kompos kotoran ayam dan jenis mulsa. Tujuan penelitian untuk menentukan takaran kompos kotoran ayam dan jenis mulsa yang tepat dalam meningkatkan produktivitas kacang hijau. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan petani Bapak Hermanto di Desa Sukatani, Kecamatan Tanjung Lago, Kabupaten Banyuasin ,Provinsi Sumatra Selatan dari bulan September 2018 sampai Janauri 2019. Tata letak di lapangan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) dengan 8 kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang 4 kali. Sebagai Faktor 1. Takaran Kompos Kotoran Ayam (T): 0 ton/ha (T 0 ), 5 ton/ha (T 1 ), 10 ton/ha (T 2 ) dan 15 ton/ha (T 3 ). Faktor 2: Jenis Mulsa (M): mulsa jerami padi (M 1 ), mulsa plastik perak (M 2 ). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan terjadi peningkatan produksi kacang hijau sebesar 753,75 g/petak (3,01 ton/ha) dengan pemberiann takaran kompos kotoran ayam 5 ton/ha dan menggunakan mulsa jerami padi. The productivity of green beans in South Sumatra is 1.67 tons/ha on average, this is due to cultivation techniques that are not optimal, one of the efforts that can be done is by appliying chicken manure compost and types of mulch.The purpose of the study was to determine the right amount of chicken manure compost and the right type of mulch to increase the productivity of green beans. This research was conducted on farmer Mr. Hermanto’s land in Sukatani Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province from September 2018 to January 2019. The layout in the field used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAKF) with 8 treatment combinations repeated 4 times. As a Factor 1. Chicken Manure Compost (T): 0 tons/ha (T 0 ), 5 tons/ha (T 1 ), 10 tons/ha (T 2 ) and 15 tons/ha (T 3 ). Factor 2: Type of Mulch (M): rice straw mulch (M 1 ) silver plastic mulch (M 2 ). The results showed an increase in green beans production by 753.75 g/plot (3,01 tons/ha) by offering a dose of chicken manure compost of 5 tons/ha and using rice straw mulch.
