Abstract

The influence of parents' social support and self-efficacy on the ability to memorize the the Qur'an of MI Ma'arif Pulutan Salatiga students.Thesis Program of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), postgraduate Program, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Salatiga. This study aims to find out 1) The effect of parents’ social support on the ability to memorize the Qur'an of the students of Ma'arif Pulutan Salatiga; 2) The effect of self-efficacy on the ability to memorize the Qur'an of MI Ma'arif Pulutan Salatiga students; 3) The effect of parents’' social support and self-efficacy simultaneously on the ability to memorize the Qur'an's students MI Ma’arif Pulutan Salatiga. The approach used in this study is quantitative. The subjects in this study are 37 students, as well as being a whole sample. The Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and oral tests. The instrument test uses the validity test and the reliability test. While the assumption test uses the normality test and linearity test. The hypothesis testing in this study uses multiple linear regression test. The results showed that 1) parents’' social support significantly influenced the ability to memorize the Qur'an with a significance value of 0.036 (P <0.05); 2) Self-efficacy does not affect the ability to memorize the Qur'an because the significance value of 0.633; 3) There is a significant influence between parents’' social support and self-efficacy on the ability to memorize the Qur'an of MI Ma'arif Pulati Salatiga students, with a significance value of 0.006 (P <0.05) and the effect of 26.1%.
