Abstract

One very important ability in thematic learning for students to have and develop is the ability to think critically. In addition, thematic learning students also require students to have high learning motivation which will certainly increase the achievement of learning outcomes. One of the learning models that can support this is the integrated thematic learning model of the connected type. The method used in this research is literature research (library research). The results of this study indicate that the connected-type integrated thematic learning model increases students' motivation and critical thinking skills both in terms of theory and previous research. The integrated thematic learning model of the connected type requires students to explore and find their own knowledge, students are required to always be active in exploring information and knowledge from various sources so that conceptual understanding, reasoning and communication skills
