Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: Knowing and comparing increasing mathematical problem-solving ability of students learning using authentic assessment in the form of a portfolio of problem-based learning, students are learning to use problem-based learning with student learning using conventional learning based learning and Early Mathematics Ability (EMA). The other knowing the attitude of the students during the learning process takes place using problem-based learning This study uses Mixed Method Research in Embedded design strategy. Data collection techniques that test problem solving ability, interviews and questionnaires attitudes. The population is all class X students of SMAN 2 KS Cilegon with samples researchisclass X IPA 1, X IPA 2 and X IPA IPA 3. Technique of data processing using the test scoring guidelines mathematical problem-solving ability and attitude questionnaire processing students.Based on the results of data processing can be concluded: there are differences in the increase in mathematical problem-solving ability of students applying authentic learning assessment portfolios in the form of problem-based learning, students apply their learning and problem-based learning students are learning to use conventional learning. Positive student attitudes after the application of learning mathematics using problem-based learning
