Abstract
The community engagement program with forest farmer groups and forest managers in Masihulan Village aimed to enhance the community's capacity to sustainably manage forest resources and strengthen the local economy through the diversification of non-timber forest products. A participatory approach was employed in this assistance process, actively involving the community in every stage of the program. The results show a significant improvement in the farmer groups' understanding of agroforestry practices and sustainable forest management. Additionally, the institutional strengthening of the forest farmer groups positively impacted their ability to access government assistance programs and financial institutions.
