Abstract

The Science Laboratory is one of the supporting facilities that must be owned by every education institution unit at the junior high school level. Good science laboratory governance is needed to support the teaching and learning process that involves practicum activities. Unfortunately, there are still many junior high schools in Bone Regency that do not have good science laboratory governance due to the absence of laboratory personnel who are responsible for carrying out laboratory management. In this regard, this Community Service activity was carried out to train prospective laboratory assistants and science laboratory technicians at the junior high school levels throughout Bone Regency. This training activity aims to increase the knowledge of the participants regarding the management of the science laboratory as well as alternative means to carry out practical activities in schools. This activity is carried out using the Hybrid method by conducting training through offline activities for 7 days and online activities for 5 days. The total time for participant activity during the 12 training days is 100 hours. In order to measure the improvement of knowledge on laboratory management, a pre-test was given at the beginning of the training session and followed by a post-test which was given at the end of the training session. The results of the implementation of this training indicated that there is an increase in the knowledge of the training participants regarding laboratory management after participating in the entire series of laboratory management training activities.
