Abstract

The article reveals the role of successful adaptation of first-year students in the professional training of students in higher education institutions. The article analyses modern scientific and pedagogical studies on the problem of adaptation of first-year students to the university educational process. The need for organizing and implementing targeted activities for the pedagogical support of the adaptation of first-year students is proved based on the diagnos- tic data. The article defines the directions and content of activities for the pedagogical support of the effectiveness of this process in the higher education institutions. It formulates pedagogical conditions that determine its success.
