Abstract

This study delves into the perspectives of Hibah Ra’ūf ‘Izzat and Siti Musdah Mulia on women’s leadership, aiming to uncover both converging and diverging viewpoints. Emphasizing the importance of acknowledging diverse perspectives, it navigates the intricate interplay of gender dynamics and societal norms. Employing a library research method, data analysis adopts a comparative approach, drawing upon structural-functional theory and gender equality theory to offer a comprehensive understanding of women’s leadership paradigms. Despite differing backgrounds, both figures advocate for gender equality, rooted in Islamic jurisprudence, yet nuanced distinctions shape their viewpoints. Thus, this research illuminates the multifaceted nature of the discourse, contributing to a deeper comprehension of the evolving narrative on women’s leadership within cultural and religious contexts.
