Abstract

The variation of oxygen and hydrogen peroxide concentrations during steady-state and transient conditions were monitored at the Brunswick 2, Monticello, and Vermont Yankee boiling water reactors. Based on the findings, means for reducing the reactor water oxygen and hydrogen peroxide concentration during shutdown and startup transients were defined and demonstrated at Vermont Yankee.
