Abstract
In the western world, cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of mortality in pregnant women. In 2018 the European Society of Cardiology published the new guidelines for the management of cardiovascular diseases during pregnancy that contain modern practical approaches and new results of clinical trials. Thе review covers the main positions of this document regarding risk stratification, hypertensive disorders, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies and heart failure, thromboembolism, cardiovascular invasive procedures in pregnant women.
