Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of Oswald Spengler’s geopolitical views in 1922–1933 as a uniform system. The question is raised of the comparison of h/his views with those of other German and Russian geopolitists. Primary attention is paid to the place of Soviet Russia in Spengler’s geopolitical concepts and the evolution of his attitude to the problem of the Russian people. The views of the philosopher on the outcome of the First World War and the essence of French hegemony, on the decline of the British Empire, the rise of Japan and the prospects for the USA are examined in detail. It is concluded that Spengler’s attitude was close to the geopolitical views of Russian Eurasianists.
