Abstract
O presente artigo investiga os efeitos provocados pela música em bebês de zero a dois anos e as possibilidades para o seu desenvolvimento físico, social e afetivo. Realizamos estudo bibliográfico apoiando-nos em Delalande, Gordon, Beyer, Ilari, dentre outros autores. Conceituamos bebê, música e musicalização numa perspectiva baseada no estágio sensório-motor, segundo Jean Piaget. Discorremos sobre a Teoria do Desenvolvimento Musical e a estimulação musical. Delineamos aspectos relevantes das práticas e estimulações musicais, suas prováveis causas e efeitos, salientando a influência da música no desenvolvimento infantil e o vital papel familiar e escolar nesse processo.
