Abstract ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE IN INDUSTRIAL SOCIOLOGY: Organisational culture is a new concept which has emerged during the past decade due to the increasing interest of social scientists in the human interaction process within the industrial context. This concept refers to the unique social environment which is characteristic of a particular organisation. Organisational culture originates from the patterned orderliness in the interaction among members of the organisation. The most outstanding characteristics of organisational culture can be summarised as follows: Every organisation tends to possess an individuality of its own that distinguishes it from other organisations; this is the result of the interaction among the members of the organisation on the one hand, and the external environmental factors on the ether hand; the uniqueness of organisation causes the behaviour of both employees and management to be influenced differently.
