Abstract
The objective of this article is to reflect on the new dilemma found in the Brazilian Northeast territory, which among other vectors had in recent years, sun and sea tourism as a strategy for economic growth and regional development, but that from the installation of wind farms, with a strong participation of international capital and foreign companies, it started to present new territorial dynamics, significantly altering the landscape and the places where this phenomenon started to be present. It is intended to relate this reflection to the emergence of new challenges, pointing out the need to (re) think territorial planning, so that it is possible to conduct the regional economy with endogenous development, based on social inclusion and the balance between the economy and the environment.
