Abstract
Equipotential operation is the main way of live operation for ±800 kV UHV DC lines. In this paper, the numerical simulation method is used to study the optimum path to enter the equipotential in live operation of ±800 kV UHV DC lines. Firstly, according to the actual situation of live operation of typical straight-line towers in ±800 kV DC lines, a simulation model is established in the finite element analysis software ANSYS. Then, the dynamic distribution of electric field intensity on the human body surface is calculated when the operator enters the equipotential process along all possible paths and is located at several different points. The results show that the maximum electric field intensity of human body surface is different when it enters the equipotential along different paths, and the difference of the maximum electric field intensity between different paths can reach 1.7 times. The most reasonable entry path is from the tower level.
