Abstract

This paper presents an optimal reconfiguration by using particle swarm optimization (PSO) with reliability in unbalanced radial distribution system. The proposed algorithm is done with two schemes namely minimization of total loss and reliability for subsequent operation of sectionalize and tie line switches. However, a population-based approach is more concerned about reliability computation with contingency load loss index value. In this paper, IEEE 25-bus having three tie lines have been proposed in radial distribution system tested on MATLAB.
