Abstract

This paper investigates the optimal linear estimation problem for networked multi-sensor systems with communication constraints, where only one sensor node is allowed to access the communication network over one time slot and only a part of the remote estimator inputs are able to be updated. A novel compensation strategy is proposed to compensate the estimator inputs which are not updated, and a linear optimal estimator is then designed based on the projection theory. Finally, a target tracking example is studied to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
