Abstract

The Cr3+ doped Y3Al5O12 ceramics composed of nanosized grains were fabricated by the low temperature high pressure sintering technique. The photo - and cathodoluminescence spectra of Cr3+:Y3Al5O12 nanoceramics were measured. The effect of applied pressure on luminescence properties of Cr3+ doped Y3Al5O12 nanoceramics was investigated.
