Abstract
The degree of circular polarization is studied for secondary radiation in cubic semiconductors of ZnTe and ZnSe under the excitation of circularly polarized light. It depends on the emission bands as well as on the excitation wave-lengths. The discrimination between Raman scattering and hot luminescence under resonant light excitation is discussed.
