Abstract
The Golden Jubliee Year of the NCTM has just ended, and we are embarked on a new era of service. During the pa t fifty years our member hip has grown from zero to a current enrollment of nearly 50,000 individu al members and 30,000 additional subscribers. We are recognized as the largest professional organization in the world with a major interest in mathematics and/ or mathematics education. Such growth is achieved by providing services wanted and needed by large numbers of teachers.
