Abstract

The main shortcomings in the professional training of future engineers have been identified; the novelty of the approach has been substantiated and the essential characteristic of the “Mathematics — Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering” integrated course has been presented with using the information and communication technologies to enhance the mathematical training of students in electrical engineering majors. The criteria for the mathematical training effectiveness have been determined. The results of the pedagogical experiment that proves the professional orientation effectiveness of the future electricians' mathematical training have been provided by the introduction the “Mathematics — Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering” integrated course in the educational process.
