Abstract

The time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equation for the superconducting order parameter and its dynamics is presented explicitly in a proper formula taking account of the Landau quantization. The equation is reduced continuously to the result derived by Abrahams and Tsuneto for the limit of a weak magnetic field. The equation shows a periodic oscillation with 1/ H for the transition temperature T c H for the imaginary part of the relaxation time which is quite important for transport phenomena. This is shown to be due to a breaking of the time-reversal symmetry by a magnetic field.
