Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of problems related to elements of microbial community cybernetics: the principle of stationary coexistence of populations, specific properties of interpopulation chemical regulators (autostabilization effect), the formulation of an adequate criterion of interactions between populations and its relation to other macroscopic characteristics of the community, and a theoretical description of the diagram of a “limitometer” aimed to find chemical regulators (controlling factors). Development of the proposed trend in cybernetics will reveal the principles of organization of microbial (and other) communities and natural control channels.
