Abstract

The concept of "alienation" is a problem that has been argued about heatedly in the European philosophical world for many years; in China, one may still react to it as something unfamiliar. What is "alienation"? It is not easy to make it clear, but put simply, it is when in its process of development, the subject by its own activity creates something that is its opposite, and which then becomes an external, alien force, turning around and opposing or controlling the subject itself.
