Abstract
We show that in the limit of small probabilities δ of error, probabilistic optimal recovery of functions approximates worst case recovery. In particular, sets of measure 0 in the space of problem elements make no difference in error or in complexity analysis. The proofs depend largely on the geometry and topology of Banach spaces.
