Abstract
To use the dewatering system concept may be an attractive new process for beach stabilization because it provides as alternative to hard structures and may enhance beach nourishment process. Beach erosion of the world's shorelines is one of the major problems facing coastal engineers. Dewatering system is considered as a soft engineering system to control the beach erosion. By this system the water table under the beach surface to control the beach erosion. The drainpipe placing is one of the factors. which control the water table under the beach; the results indicate the location of the drainpipe for dewatering system performed better near the offshore. Here, we have used a two dimensional numerical mathematical model by finite element method to understand the importance the location of the coastal drain system in a tidal beach.
