Abstract
The article examines the main aspects of patriotic education of students of higher educational institutions, with an emphasis on the role of social activity and educational projects in the development of patriotism. The author emphasizes the importance of flexibility of educational institutions in taking into account external factors such as the political situation and social changes, as well as the importance of forming patriotic values in the early stages of life.
