Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of imiquimod cream in treatment of condyloma acuminatum. Methods 90 patients with condyloma acuminatum were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,the treatment group (45 patients) were given imiquimod cream applied externally wart,the control group was applied interferon α-2b wart cream externally,the efficacy and re]apse rate were observed and compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate in treatment group ( 91.1% ) was higher than that in control group (64. 4% ), by statistical analysis, the difference was significant (P < 0.05 ). Treatment group,38 cases of non-recurrence,the recurrence rate was 15. 6% ,in the eontrol group had no recurrence in 29 cases,the recurrence rate was 35.6%, the recurrence rate of the treatment group was significantly lower than control group, the difference was significant ( P < 0.05 ). Conclusion The efficacy of imiquimod treatment had lower recurrence rate and no systemic adverse reactions, local reactions was light, worthy to be popularized and applied.
