Abstract
(Abstracted from Urogynecology 2023;29:872–879) High-tone pelvic floor dysfunction (HTPFD) can cause chronic pelvic pain and lower urinary tract symptoms and can significantly impact quality of life. One treatment for HTPFD is pelvic floor physical therapy (PFPT) that focuses on myofascial treatment; recent studies have shown this to be an effective way to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.
