Abstract

The present work aimed to reflect on the use of playful activities in elementary education in Scienceclasses, highlighting their contribution to the teaching-learning process, since games and pranksact as a bridge between pleasure and knowledge. Through bibliographic research, the view of several authors was discussed that consider the ludic a valuable didactic instrument to be worked in the school environment as an ally to the teaching pedagogical practice. It also presents the results of a field research carried out with Science teachers, reporting their perceptions of the use of playfulness in the teaching of Science in Elementary Education in the city of Pedro II-PI. Thus, it is considered that playfulness should be explored in this context, as it streamlines classes, making them more motivating and interesting in the eyes of students, favoring the development of numerous important skills for the individual's intrapersonal and interpersonal growth.
