Abstract
The program ABC in Science Education — hands on is developed by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. São Carlos is one of the poles of development. It interacts with the children and adolescents the following exploration activities: conclusions, systematization (individual registration, collective registration and registration of the teacher) and dissemination. At the CDCC — Center for Scientifi c and Cultural Dissemination, connected to the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of São Carlos, as well as to the supervising Department for Culture and Extension of the University of São Paulo, a link to the teachers has been established, through courses for continuing education, production and adaptation of material support and exhibition of works.
